Hazel Moving is offering hourly rates for local moves; and we are also happy to offer a flat price on your long distance move. Our price is based on your inventory list rather than charging based on factors like cubic feet or weight. This helps avoid variables on the move day and gives our customers complete control over the price and eliminates all surprises.
Packing and Wrapping
In every quote Hazel Moving includes the price for the packing and wrapping of all furniture, mirrors, pictures, lamps, and large electronics like flat screen televisions. These items should always be prepared by a professional mover because they require experience and special packing materials to be transported safely.
Breakable Items
When speaking about breakable items we are referring to all items which prior to placement into moving boxes must be individually prepared with specialty packing materials. Specialty packing materials such as tissue paper, brown multi layered paper, bubble wrap are available to secure every possible household item. Breakable items include China and Dishes, Glassware, Collectables, etc… For best results, we strongly suggested that a professional mover prepares these items.
Non-breakable Items
Here we mean all of your items that do not require any preparation prior to placement into the moving carton. These items include your linens, books, clothing, bathroom supplies, garage contents, basement contents, shed contents, attic contents, etc… Hazel Moving can perform placement of non-breakable items into cartons, the homeowner can perform this himself, or herself, it really just depends on the amount of time available prior to move day and the amount of items. For planning purposes, packing 6-10 cartons per day is typical for a homeowner. At Hazel Moving, the customer determines their comfort level for packing and the amount of involvement they would like to have and we take care of the rest.
